Ciera and Josh - Wedding - Amherst Fairgrounds

Ciera and Josh had a beautiful day for their summer wedding in Amherst, WI.

Ciera and Josh are married! I got to shoot the surprise proposal, then their engagement and now now had the honor of being their wedding photographer. They planned exactly the day they they wanted with an outdoor ceremony at his parents’ land. Then the party was at the fairgrounds in the brand new entertainment building. Being on the fair board has some perks when you have a wedding to plan!

The day was blessedly overcast with a little bit of a breeze. Ciera is a no frills type of gal so didn’t need the piles of detail shots and all that stuff. She just wanted the photos that show the important stuff about the day – the people. Of course they have plenty of photos documenting how amazing they both looked. The rest of the wedding party was pretty stunning too. Ciera’s dress was gorgeous with it’s satin neckline detail. The guys were all looking sharp and the girls in all the different styles and materials of gold dresses were beautiful. I loved how the navy and gold contrasted on the bright day.

The new entertainment building was really nice for a wedding. The bar was busy all night so the bartenders deserve a huge shout out. For this wedding it was also big enough to be set up with a dance floor already cleared so no table had to be put away and the head table on the stage didn’t have to be bothered all night. If you’re planning a wedding reception layout and you can do it without clearing tables, please do it! It’s one less thing to worry about.

This wedding was a blast. There were still a ton of people there when I wrapped up and the dance floor was going like crazy. I’m sure there were a lot of sore feet the next day but I’m sure everyone will feel it was worth it.
