Chloe + Bronson’s Cottonwood Barn Wedding

A perfect late summer wedding day in a little country church and the brand new Cottonwood barn wedding venue!

Where do I even begin? Saturday was gorgeous, Chloe was stunning and you know I love a barn wedding! I can’t even tell you how excited was for this wedding day. Chloe gave me an awesome timeline, perfectly planned out. Once we were close enough to the date to know that the weather was going to be good I knew it was going to be amazing! Chloe and Bronson had a pretty rough weather day for their engagement session so they deserved 70 and sunny on Saturday.

Bronson and Chloe have been together a pretty long time, and that fact was heavily referenced in the numerous speeches made by family and friends. Ten years they’ve been growing this relationship and waiting for the right time to solidify it as a lifelong commitment. Saturday was the day and the excitement was palpable. Even Ellie (their adorable pup) seemed to know this was a special day.

A great support makes all the difference….

Everyone was on board with making sure the day went as planned. The guys were all ready in their assigned location when I got there to get a few shots of them getting ready. Jayne pinned all the boutonnières on just right and despite some belt size issues, they were all ready to go. Then I got to the reception venue where the girls were getting ready and wow! Fresh flowers everywhere from Shasta Daisy Co. And so many pretty details. Walking into the getting ready spot and seeing the dress hanging is one of my favorite parts of the day. A few mimosa shots before it was time for Chloe to get in her dress and then things get real.

Emmaus Lutheran is a little country church and it was packed for this ceremony. The violin player in the little balcony was an added bonus to make the ceremony special and Pastor’s sermon was great. He spoke from the heart and guests got the sense that these two have put in all the work and preparation needed to plan for this marriage, not just the wedding day.

Then the fun started!

Cottonwood was just a few miles down the road. It didn’t take long to get to the party after the ceremony was through. Most of the bridal party was happy to have as many photos taken as the bride desired. One little flower girl was clearly excited to be done with that part of the day, but she was so stinkin’ cute that it was just fine. We were all very thankful for the huge staircase in the shade that made a great spot for portraits. That spot had way less mosquitos than anywhere in the grass. The mosquitos were quite possibly the only negative part of the whole day.

Their Grand Entrance from the humungous staircase of the barn had all 200 some guest cheering. Maybe they were just really ready for a great dinner and they sure got one. Then the speeches. We all know that wedding toasts can go a number of ways. They can be a bit of a bore or they can be really fun, entertaining, and heartfelt. These did not disappoint! Especially when Chloe’s two sisters rapped out some self written parodies to a mix of clips, expertly played by DJ Cole. They were funny and sweet with just the right amount of stories from the past and hope for the future.

Then the dancing – oh was there ever dancing!

After dinner was done the real party started. The thick wood dance floor was full all night with everyone from little flower girls, to a huge group of friends, and even an appearance from Ellie! That’s the benefit of having friends with a new outdoor wedding venue:) When I was packing up the stretch SUV limo had arrived and was ready to take the wedding party to their next spot. I would imagine the party carried on long into the night and I hope everyone had an amazing time. I sure did!
