Favorite wedding portraits and shots of 2023 weddings from Rachel Jensen Photography.
It’s that time of year! 2023 is all in the past so it’s high time I look back on some of my favorite moments and shots of the year. I kept it at 7 weddings last year and I loved every single one of them! They were all different with their own unique touches from these wonderful couples. That is why we’re starting off with bride and groom portraits that I love! There are wayyyyyy more filling up my hard drive but I managed to narrow it down to a few highlights!
Ahhh, the joy! Now let’s fully switch gears to the details! I don’t spend a crazy amount of time getting the flatlays and tight jewelry shots but I love doing them. It’s a great way to start the day and get a feel for the vibe.
The important stuff – the ceremony! Indoors, outdoors, a few rows of chairs or a packed church, these are important to get no matter what. This is the moment it all becomes real and I love getting those shots!
Then we have the wedding parties! I had the great pleasure of working with some really fun groups this year. There were sweet sisters, hilarious best friends from out of state, and some tough gals braving the cold and the rain for their friend! It’s always interesting meeting the wedding party and I hope they enjoyed getting hollered at by me as much as I enjoyed all of them!
A few of the most important things….
And they danced! I love shooting the dances and I know it’s at the end of a long day and my feet are shot and my hand is literally sore from carrying a camera all day, but it really is the best part! This is when I get to see everyone cut it loose and let it fly! I saw some great dancers this year all the way from 2 to 92 (or something like that!)
I love shooting weddings! If you’re getting married in 2024 or 2025, or knows someone who is, send them my way!
