Courtney and Tyler had an unexpectedly warm day for their wedding at Par 4 in Waupaca.

The wedding day finally came for Courtney and Tyler! When I got there hair and makeup was already running ahead of schedule. Not a typo, they were AHEAD of schedule. Then before I started shooting details I got to meet and hold little 1 month old Waylon. That was a highlight of my morning! The guys were ready when they were supposed to be and when Courtney got in her dress everything was going great. Her Maid of Honor, also Courtney, got a good work out on her fingers lacing up the dress.

The rest of the day went just as smooth. It was a little bit windy out by hole 11 for the ceremony but that was kind of a relief considering the heat. The girls all looked so pretty in their lilac color dresses and the guys were looking quite dapper in their gray suits.

Family Formals…

I get comments all the time at weddings about how well I run family formals and I do run them very well. We got a lot done in a very short amount of time and it’s not by chance. My couples have a template to help them decide on who to include and I organize the list with first and last names. Multiple copies are printed so that I can hand a copy to a member of the family from each side so everyone who needs to be in them knows it. Planning is key people!

The ballroom at Par 4 was setup perfectly. It’s so nice when the dance floor isn’t covered in table for the meal so they don’t have to be moved or cleared. I know that’s not always possible but I really appreciate the times it is.

The party was a good mix of dance floor fun and people mingling and chatting. The DJ was awesome with mixing in a few fun things and keeping the party going. A quick set of sunset photos was gave us those additional shots that complete the day. Best Man Jeremy did a great job with my little haze machine that I got to bust out thanks to the wind calming down. It was a great night and I’m pretty sure all in attendance would agree!
