A warm and windy Wisconsin engagement session at Hartman Creek State Park, Waupaca, WI.
Every once in awhile I have a couple who knows just where they want to have photos taken. Rachel and Jake definitely fall into that category! We had to do this session at a park! Jake owns a campground and they got engaged on a hiking trip so this was a no brainer. However, their State Park proposal was not the original plan. Not at all. You have to hear how sweet this is!! Jake had a proposal all planned out. Then when he got the ring, that date was still a couple months away. He decided he couldn’t wait that long because – and I quote – “something that beautiful needed to be on the finger of someone beautiful”. Heart stabs!
Obviously Jake is all fuzzy when it comes to his fiancé. Even though this was the first time meeting them, it seems to me Rachel has one of those hearts that’s overflowing all the time. It makes a person happy just to be around a couple like this and I got to photograph them!
We hopped around to a few places in the park and definitely waited to change into the second outfit that was a lot warmer until we were close to done. When we started it was somewhere around 80 degrees and no one is used to that in May! Once we wrapped up, I could not wait to get these on my computer and get a sneak peek out there. A warm sunny night with a great couple, I’m so happy!
Rachel and Jake – I hope you had a great time and Wheelhouse afterwards didn’t disappoint! I can’t wait to see you again in just a few short months for the “I Do’s”!
