Taylor and Ryan were married at the historic Danes Hall on a hot July day in Waupaca, WI.
Classic elegance is a fitting description for Taylor and Ryan’s Danes Hall wedding. When you have your wedding in a beautifully restored historic building there’s no need for a lot of frill and fluff. Neither Taylor or Ryan are frill and fluff type of people so this was perfect. It was also really nice to be in an air conditioned building instead of melting in the 85 degree sun.
The day started right on time and Taylor was ready to get in her dress pronto. It was gorgeous with smooth satin and a lace jacket that fit her style and personality like a glove. Ryan and crew were looking dapper in their navy tuxes with cream and brown accents. When Ryan saw Taylor in the ballroom for their first look the nerves melted away and all that was left to do was say the vows. Oh, and sneak outside for photos before everyone started sweating.
The most important part…
The ceremony was real short and to the point. That meant plenty of time for more photos and cocktail hour while the ceremony site was flipped into dinner. The tables were gorgeous in gold and navy and the catered dinner from the Moose Inn was delicious. Then the desserts, oh the desserts! The dance floor was cleared for the guests to work off those desserts and the party continued.
With all the things that happen at a wedding I think the most noticeable aspect of this one was the conversations. Every room at every time seemed to be filled with groups of people chatting and truly enjoying the time to just talk with each other. Taylor and Ryan were always talking with people as what they really wanted was to have a great day with their family and friends. I think they achieved that!
