Makenna and Tory may not have had the weather they hoped for their September wedding, but they sure had all the important stuff!

It’s gonna happen eventually. The rain is going to come and the plans are going to change. Makenna and Tory had to make a decision to move their ceremony inside, find a different place for some pictures, and remember that getting married is the reason for the day. They did a great job with all those things! Tory gets the credit for finding the large gazebo we went to. Makenna gets credit for being the calmest rainy day bride ever. The wedding party gets a shout out for being awesome at rolling with the changes.

I’m keeping blog post writings a bit shorter these days so I’m gonna hit the highlights. Number one – I loved Makenna’s dress so much. She was capital S Stunning. The ceremony was really nice, a very good friend officiated which is always a special touch. Catering did a great job and the food was fantastic. At least mine was! Speeches were great and not too long. More props to Makenna for giving reasonable yet firm time limits. The bakery did such a good job. Those were the best rice krispie bars I’ve had in a long time and I never turn down a krispie.

The dancing – wow!

The dance gets its own paragraph. Makenna and Tory had a great first dance, choreographed and all. And then when the floor opened it started off with old time swing music. This group popped off for it. It is so fun to photograph receptions where people dance hard. 90 year old grandparents were out there busting a move y’all.
