Sidney and Bryce are engaged…. finally! And I can say that – he’s my nephew and we’ve all been waiting awhile.
Good gracious, I was 9 years old when little baby Bryce was born. I still remember sitting at the kitchen table coloring when my mom got the call that he was here. Now he’s all grown up and found his other half. Well, he found Sidney a long time ago but when the super chill half of the couple is the one in charge of proposing it takes awhile. They are so right for each other and I was so happy to see it in action!
To the city!!!
I headed down to Milwaukee on a Saturday that started out beautiful. And the sprinkles started right about the time I got there. Sidney is a planner and a doer and this plan didn’t involve rain. Life throws curves and Bryce is her curve calmer. I hope I helped to in this particular situation. We did start close to where we planned. The Milwaukee Federal Building with it’s big old steps and huge arches was so cool. I never get to shoot somewhere like that so I was super excited too. And Sidney and Bryce looked so classy I just loved it!
There were some spots in between the classy and the casual outfit that I’m saving for a later date but let’s just say we worked around a lot of rain. At least it wasn’t snow getting everything all sloshy. It was getting pretty dark by the time we got to a bridge we could be under for some casual ones but we made that work too.
City lights were coming on then and we made it to one last point at the top of a hill to get that nighttime city shot. I love it so much! I know this shoot didn’t go as planned because weather can be witchy, but we accomplished what we needed to. I think it was a win!
These pictures are beautiful!! Love them!!
