Dylan’s senior session at the river and fairgrounds in Weyauwega.
Where to go, where to go? There was really only one thing Dylan really wanted to make sure was a big part of his senior photos. His truck. And in close second was Jake, the very happy doggy. Dylan liked the thought of some water in it since he does do some fishing. And then something with some kind of older building. He’s not from Weyauwega but that’s where we landed on going.
We started down at the park close to the dam. I love a big old tree and there was one with low enough limbs to give us some variety. Dylan was good with doing whatever and hopped right up in that thing. We worked hard to get Jake’s attention for a minute, There were a lot of good smells apparently.
Putting the truck over the by the dock was a great way to tie in fishing. Usually when my senior guys have a vehicle I tell them to clean it out, but we went a different way this time. Dylan had his fishing stuff in the back and the spare tire that was really helpful in creating some interest and story for these shots. I love a little touch of personality in the stuff.
Next stop – fairgrounds.
Dylan doesn’t have any certain connection with the fairgrounds, I just think there’s enough buildings and structures to get some good shots there. The galvanized metal side of one gave some really nice contrast with the black Ford and complemented Dylan’s hoodie color. We kept it pretty simple there but Dylan did get to climb all over his truck bed for a few shots.
At the very end, because he loves his mom, he put on a sweater. The things boys will do just for their moms gives me hope for the future! (Three boys coming up here…) The grandstand wall must have painted very recently and the stark white went perfectly with his blue shirt and blue eyes. We had a good time and even got a smile with teeth for a shot or two!
