A gorgeous evening senior session in downtown Waupaca and Grandma’s fields.
Okay, quick little disclaimer – I made a woops! I wrote this post about a month ago, got the photos all ready for it, marked it all off on my checklists, all the necessary steps to post this and give Chloe her spot on the blog. All the steps except hit publish. Sorry this is really late, but better late than never, right?
This session will definitely go down as one of my favorites for the summer! I met Chloe and her mom, Erin in Waupaca to start her evening with some urban feel. We kicked off at one of my favorite brick walls to use by the library. There’s enough old worn brick that’s not too dark and heavy. Chloe jumped right in with that gorgeous smile and easy personality. Walking around the block we could have filled up all the session time right there. I love when that happens!
We couldn’t hang around there forever though and we headed to Grandma’s. When seniors tell me Grandma (or Grandpa, Aunt, neighbor) has open fields I never know exactly what to expect. Fields down in a valley can sometimes have really green color cast but I can always make it work.
Turns out the struggle with this open field was picking which of the many fabulous options to use! Scouting it all while she changed I couldn’t believe the view from the top of this hill. We were overlooking Waupaca and the Chain. There was milkweed everywhere and monarchs galore. I also had to decided where to put the International Scout that was to be included in some photos.
I picked the spots and Erin got the Scout driven to where it needed to be. first had to get a couple shots including the pups which is always an interesting endeavor. The light was perfection and Chloe was awesome! Even when I asked her to jump up on the roof of the Scout! I loved this session so much and I know you’re going to love it too!
