Kelly & Chad – Wedding – The Barn

Kelly and Chad had a beautiful summer wedding at The Barn in Weyauwega, WI.

Years ago Kelly and Chad were simply two people who happened to go to the same church. Neither was really thinking of finding their forever person. They were both busy raising their own kids and figuring out their own lives. And that’s how it works sometimes. Soon enough they were talking, then talking more, then dating. And here we are. Chad and Kelly are now Mr. and Mrs.

I knew at their engagement session this wedding was going to a good one. Chad’s dry humor and Kelly’s light up smile make everything a little less stressful. Like when it’s ten degrees outside for engagement photos. Or 90 degrees and humid as a greenhouse on the wedding day. Nothing phases them.

My favorite couples (not that I have favorites….) are the ones who can be complete goofballs together. That definitely applies here. They make each other laugh constantly. They made me laugh all the time. And they’re just so stinkin cute together!

Wedding Day is Here!

The Lakes Church is their home base so that’s where their very personal ceremony was held. Pastor Logan obviously knows them well and got a few chuckles out of the gathering himself. Kelly and Chad obviously are solid in their faith and have a real understanding of the commitment they made to each other.

Once all that important stuff was done and the license was signed it was time to party! A quick little stop in Waupaca and it was off to The Barn. Cocktail hour was in full swing and the ladies behind the bar were crushing it. The bridal party shots (photographic ones at least) were short and sweet. It was way to hot to keep them away from the water coolers for too long. Kelly and Chad of course had a few more to get before dinner. We had some cute photo ops coming up for them highlighting not only two fun things they had there, but I believe two of the best decisions they made.

The Funsies

One was The Old Fashioned Photo Bus. This little thing is a functional photo booth and there was someone making use of it from start to finish. Anna and Brian who own it are such a sweet couple too. Plus, it prints off two strips of the photos automatically. One for the guests to keep and the other that Anna puts in a book for the bride and groom. So much fun! I even hopped on in there double fisting my cameras for a little memory!

The second awesome and different decision was the Knotted Cone Gelato Co. I don’t know what makes gelato different from ice cream or frozen custard, but it IS different. And it’s so. so. good. At least both the flavors I tried were. Add in how cool the truck is and you feel like you’re just a regular fancy pants when you get it.

I’m just gonna throw one more thing in about this wedding day and that’s a shout out to the kids. Not just Kelly and Chad’s (even though they were all pretty awesome) but to all the kids who were part of the wedding and even just there as guests. They were all polite and excited and clearly so happy these two people were getting married. I didn’t hear any of them complain about heat or mosquitos or not liking something they were wearing. And when the dance floor opened up, these kids were on it. Clearly Kelly and Chad are not only good people themselves, but have surrounded themselves with a whole bunch of awesomeness.

Almost to the photo part but first…..

Were you a guest?

If you were a guest at this wedding, or in the wedding party, and forgot to grab a card or snap the QR code, you can still request your guest gallery here! Once I deliver all the photos to the bride and groom, I’ll send you a link to the guest gallery. It will include the parts of the day guests were present and the blog photos. It’ll be a few weeks, but worth the wait!

Just a few of the amazing vendors who made this day extra special:

Venue – The Barn

The Gelato Truck – The Knotted Cone

The Photo Bus – Old Fashioned Photo Bus
