Bri and Seth had a fall session perfectly fitting for the season at the quarry at Rib Mountain.
When Bri and Seth booked their engagement session for mid October I was just hoping the weather leading up to it would keep the leaves on the trees. Boy did it! We hiked up the trail and the colors through the woods on Rib Mountain were so vibrant! We made a few stops along the way to do some shots before our final destination. Bri also had cute shoes on and I was pulling my gear wagon so it was kind of for photos, kind of for a breather!
By the time we reached the quarry I already felt like Bri and Seth were old friends. They are so easy to chat with and easy going about the whole process. There was no wariness when the camera was up and they rolled into photo taking mode like pros. It’s like as long as they’re together nothing can bother them. They enjoy being with each other so much that it puts people around them instantly at ease.
And away we go!
Bri and Seth had both been to this spot before and even took their first photo together when hiking th e trail around the rim of the quarry. I had never been here and now I want to go back! Being inside this quarry with all the shimmering granite and glowing stands of birch trees was so cool. The two of them were happy to climb over rock piles and through brush to get interesting shots and it was worth it! I also can’t count how many times I commented they were really good sitters. I know that sounds weird but getting a couple to look comfortable and cute when sitting together can be tricky sometimes. They nailed it every time! Bri believes it’s from sitting on the floor watching so many movies throughout their dating stage.
The best thing about Bri and Seth during this session was they were so comfortable being playful. Laughing with each other constantly, going in for the cuddles and kisses when I didn’t even have to ask, and being completely goofy! Walking out of the quarry I told them to walk together in as silly a way as they wanted and they delivered! Mostly Seth because Bri was just laughing at him. A few more shots on a cliff edge and a trail that looked as if it was painted from a Robert Frost poem and we headed back down the mountain. It was much easier going that way!
I couldn’t wait to get to these photos and get this blog post out. It makes me so excited for their upcoming wedding – and to decorate my house for fall which I still haven’t gotten around too. Congratulations Bri and Seth!
These photos are gorgeous. Even better than we had hoped for. The location and lighting you found was so perfect for what Brianna and Seth were looking for. You captured their feelings and what a wonderful keepsake these will be for Brianna and Seth and all our family! Thank you so much!!
