Sally’s Senior Session

Class of 2025 – Sally’s super sunny senior session!

You know you want to try to say that 5 times! This session was in later August and I was excited for it all summer. Sally stole my heart a little bit with her love of cows, tractors and trucks. When I got to the farm it was a beautiful day and Sally is such a fun mix of girly and farmgirl!

The first thing we wanted to shoot with was the John Deere articulate. I loved that it wasn’t in the spot so Sally went and moved it while her mom said, “I didn’t know she knew how to drive that one.” We spent a lot of time crawling all over that shiny piece of equipment but man was it worth it. We did some more creative style shots that she loves!

Then to the free stall barn. I love shooting in spots like this with deep contract and light coming through the end. Sally’s cute outfit was perfect for the spot and we even got to let a few of the cows in on the shoot. Then the grain bins. I’ve come to realize in photography and life – I love galvanized metal. Using the framework for some composition made a few really awesome shots that both Sally and her mom love!

Let’s mosey on down the gravel road…

Sally had her truck all shined up for the day and it was running good thanks to her brother! We parked it down one of the field roads. The sun glowing over the corn gave us the coolest light! The most fun little part – the pink guitar! Sally loves pink and putting that little pop of color in was necessary and so stinkin’ cute!

The sun was sinking when Sally grabbed her Bible out of the truck and we headed down to the pond. The soft glow on the water was just right to show Sally’s spiritual side. Barefoot in the grass with her Bible and the frogs chirping was just the vibe we planned for.

One last thing. When you have a huge pile of round bales – which were very nicely stacked by the way – you gotta use ’em! What a fun shot to end the session when Sally climbed up to the very top. The silo and the barn roof just in the background were in the perfect position too! We technically weren’t done because her bestie was there so we did some friend shots too just for fun!
