Jenna and Kyle had a short and sweet ceremony at Danes Hall followed by a heck of a party at Crystal Falls in New London.
A chilly October day with the sun shining through the windows of the Danes Hall was a gorgeous setting for Kyle and Jenna’s wedding. The Danes Hall was full of guests for their ceremony. It was the shortest ceremony I’ve photographed in a long time! That was not the only thing uniques about this ceremony. I’ve photographed unity candles, rope cords, and glass pourings. But this was the first time I’ve seen a unity shot. The officiant’s words of how whiskey is similar to marriage were surprisingly on point. Among other points, it does warm you from the inside and does sometimes give you a headache.
The bridal party was pretty pumped to get on the bus and get partying, but I did get to steal their attention for a couple minutes to grab a few shots of them all together. Then off to the reception. Another first there. When the bridal party arrived, they did a grand entrance that ended in a guys against girls game of flip cup.
The girls won!!!
Dinner was awesome with guests at round tables around the king’s table where the bridal party was seated. Beyond dinner though – the desserts were amazing! After a few words from friends the dance floor opened up and everyone from young to old was out there busting a move!
